Alexander Bente

Growing up in Switzerland, Alex has always had sports in his blood. Early on, he showcased his dedication to sports on tennis courts, where he became one of Central Switzerland’s leading junior tennis players. After multiple injuries, he focused on crafting his skills in business, receiving a bachelors and masters agree from one of Europe’s leading business schools, the University of St. Gallen. After finishing his studies in 2015, he combined his two passions – sports and finance – and started investing in sports technology companies around the globe, which culminated in the founding of ADvantage in 2018. With his international background, global network and focused investment approach, Alex became one of the first fund managers establishing a dedicated vehicle for sports tech, at the age of only 28 years old. Over the past 8 years investing in sports tech, Alex has been involved in sourcing and supporting over 40 global investments in the space.

As a great-grandson of Adi Dassler, the founder of adidas, continuing the family legacy is crucial for Alex and one of the key inspirations which motivated him to dedicate his career to shaping the future of sports.

Alex lives in Orlando with his wife and two children and is actively working on his comeback to competitive tennis – supported by the latest sports technology from around the globe.
