Mark DeSario

Mark A. DeSario is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of BRCM.  Mr. DeSario has 30+ years of experience in the real estate and asset management industries and has led the formation of companies both in the United States and abroad.

In his career, Mr. DeSario has held senior executive positions with Merrill Lynch, both in the asset management and International Private Bank divisions.  Mr. DeSario has overseen the execution of numerous global real estate transactions including the acquisition of a leading hospitality platform and the formation of a K-12 school platform in Africa and the current BRCM platform.

Mr. DeSario’s primary focus throughout his career has been the creation of investment platforms that provide access to private investors and institutions in a transparent, tax-efficient structure.

Mr. DeSario has served as a Member of the MIT’s Advisory Board of the Center for Real Estate and has been a speaker at their global forums.  He has held a seat on numerous boards including, the board of directors of The First Group, a Dubai-based hospitality real estate developer and operator, Africa Crest Education, a K-12 school holding company for private mid-market schools in Africa, and Merrill Lynch Global Selects, an open-architecture investment platform designed for tax efficient investing for non-U.S. investors.

Mr. DeSario is a graduate of Binghamton University.
